It is technology what sets the monkey called ‘human’ apart from other animals. In our cities, we are surrounded by it, and we often wield it while being completely oblivious to the damage that we are causing to the world, by being so powerful yet so blind and egocentric (anthropocentric).

This is a mockup of the original 1.5 m tall work, in which the different pixelled pieces were raised, and the monkey’s body and limbs were also lifted. The original also had some other additions that I did not want to keep for this picture. Created as my final exam for Sebastián Skoknic and Bryan Phillips’ workshop.
